Massive earthquake in Chile triggers Tsunami warnings

The U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake struck 56 miles NE of the city of Conception at a depth of 22 miles at 3:34 a.m. (1:34 a.m. ET)

Massive magnitude 8.8 (1000 times more powerful than Haiti’s earthquake) triggers Tsunami warnings all over the Pacific coast (Peru, Ecuador, Colombia)

25 confirmed after-shocks

52 people confirmed dead at this time.

Tsunami is expected to reach Peruvian coast soon.
