Traffic has always been a problem for many streets in Lima, Peru. The fact that the majority of buses, micros, combis and taxis stop anywhere they want to pick up passengers slows the flow of traffic. One of the few municipalities trying to improve traffic is the Municipality of Miraflores.
Starting July 1st, 2009, there will be specially designated stops along Avenida Larco where micros, buses and taxis can pick up and drop passengers. Be aware that drivers will get a ticket for not obeying this rule.
